How Next, Block, and Report Work on VibeChat

Next lets you leave the current chat and look for another match. You can use Next when the conversation feels awkward, the other person is not responding, the match is not what you expected, or you simply want to meet someone else.

You do not need to explain why you are leaving. In random and live 1v1 chat, moving on is normal. Next is not rude when used respectfully — it is part of the format.

Block helps you avoid seeing someone again. Use Block when you do not want future contact with a person — because they made you uncomfortable, ignored boundaries, behaved rudely, or simply made the session feel wrong.

Block is stronger than Next. Next moves you to a new session; Block helps prevent repeat contact with that person.

Report is used when someone may have broken the rules. Use Report for behavior such as harassment, threats, scams, pressure to share private information, hate or abuse, suspicious attempts to move you off-platform, or behavior that violates community guidelines. Reports help flag behavior for review according to platform rules.

Not every bad match needs a report. Use Next when the session is simply not interesting, the conversation does not flow, or you are not feeling comfortable but no rule appears to be broken. Use Report when the behavior is harmful, abusive, threatening, deceptive, or clearly against the rules.

Use Block when you do not want to meet that person again. For example, if someone repeatedly pressures you, makes rude comments, or gives you a bad feeling, Block is more appropriate than only using Next. You can use both Block and Report if the behavior is serious.

Live video chat is unpredictable — that is part of why people use it. But unpredictability needs boundaries. Controls like Next, Block, and Report help users stay comfortable without needing to argue or explain. You are allowed to leave a conversation that does not feel right.

Before your first session, remember this: you can leave anytime; you do not owe anyone personal information; you can block someone who makes you uncomfortable; you should report serious rule-breaking behavior; and you do not need to stay in a chat just to be polite.
