Your browser may ask for camera and microphone access. If the chat cannot start, check whether permissions are blocked — you may need to open browser settings and allow camera or microphone access for the site. On mobile, also check operating system permissions.

Do not show anything you would not want saved in someone's memory. Even if a platform is designed for private 1v1 sessions, you should still protect your environment. Keep personal documents, account pages, private messages, and location clues out of view.

Camera setup is not only technical — it helps to know what you will say first. Try "Hey, how's your day going?", "Where are you chatting from?", "Is this your first time here?", or "Do you want a quick chat or a longer one?" A simple opening is better than trying too hard.
